Pyaar mein sab kuch expected hota hai… par kabhi kabhi ek ‘seen’ ka notification bhi kahani ka turning point ban jaata hai. Typing dots nahi aaye. No reply. Bas blank screen. Aur mera dimag full-on overthinking mode mein chala gaya.

- “Ya phir… bas politely ignore kar diya?”
Ek second ek minute jaisa lag raha tha. Maine baar baar WhatsApp reopen kiya. Kahi koi glitch toh nahi? Lekin nahi… seen clear dikh raha tha.
Tabhi laga — kya bas main hi zyada feel kar raha tha? Was it all one-sided?

3 mahine pehle. Ek Insta story pe reply:
“This song is my all-time favorite too!”
Bas us ek line ne spark jala diya. Phir toh baatein shuru ho gayi — kabhi memes, kabhi songs, kabhi deep talks at 2 AM. Uski voice sunna mere din ka best part ban gaya tha.
Ek baar usne kaha tha:
“You get me, and that’s rare.”
Main toh wahi line baar baar padh ke blush karta tha. Mujhe laga tha yeh casual dosti se kuch zyada hai. Aur isliye, maine woh message likha — jisme thoda sa hope tha, aur pura dil tha.

Par us message ke baad… silence.
Day 1: Main sochta raha — koi urgent kaam aa gaya hoga. Day 2: Insta pe active thi, memes share kar rahi thi… reply fir bhi nahi. Day 3: Uska status — “Some spaces are better left empty.”
Dil toota nahi tha… confused tha. Dard toh tha, lekin clarity usse bhi zyada chubh rahi thi.

Pata chala, wo uski best friend thi — jo meri aur uski baat-chit ke bare mein sab jaanti thi. Usne bola:
“She panicked. Tum dono ke beech jo connect hai, woh real hai. But usse lagta hai agar woh close aayi toh usse apna aap lose karna padega.”
Aur phir… uska message aaya:
“I’m sorry… I panicked. I feel something too, but I wasn’t ready to accept it.”
Us moment mein mujhe laga — kabhi kabhi silence bhi ek tareeka hota hai dil ki baat express karne ka.

Us raat humne 2 ghante baat ki. No filters. Na koi ego, na koi pretence.
